The webcomic Subnormality has done a good job at summing up the audience at a rock show:

Is a t-shirt that literally says “Ironic Slogan”, more ironic, or less than other t-shirts?

Does the meta-irony cancel out the regular irony, or is it multiplicative?

@Brian: I think meta-irony’s relation to irony is relativistic; it depends on the frame of reference of the observer.

I could be wrong, however; I’m not very well-versed in indy rock relativity. Indy Rock Einstein, where are you?!

Took me a full day to remember xkcd:

“Maybe if this t-shirt is witty enough, someone will finally love me”
