“Gangnam Style” in 1999, Starring Yours Truly

“Gangnam Style” (which I recently blogged about) has, as they say, gone viral. Let the record show that I was rockin’ the Gangnam look when PSY was still skinny back in 1999, playing a gangster in my friend Scott Watkins’ film school project.

Merv Griffin Sings “Have a Nice Trip”

Merv Griffin, the long-time TV talk show host and creator of the game show Jeopardy!, once tried to do something for the kids: he recorded the anti-drug single Have a Nice Trip. The song starts off with a spoken word intro and then jumps straight into a psychedelic pop groove. Modern listeners will probably ask “Were they high when they wrote and recorded it?”
