Hello from Las Vegas! I’ll be here all week. Don’t forget to tip your server.

Daytime Las Vegas skyline view of the Luxor Hotel and the Strip.

The view from “the office”.

The nice thing about being able to work remotely is that I have been able to refer to some interesting places as “the office”. This week, it’s Sin City, where I’ll be all week.

I’m not paying the ripoff $15/day gym fees that hotels here insist on charging, so this week’s exercise will come from walking The Strip. If you have any recommendations or suggestions for destinations/things for me to photograph and post here, let me know in the comments!

Welcome to our fair city!

If you’re looking to get away from the strip for a while, check out Red Rock Canyon or Mount Charleston. Hoover Dam is always interesting if you haven’t been.

If you have any free time, let me know, I’d love to buy you a beverage.

Gold and Silver Pawn (Pawnstars) is an interesting place and worth a stop if there is no lineups.

Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam are nice, if you have a day and a car Death Valley is beautiful.

You’ll enjoy Freemont Street after dark. And you might even make a few bucks with the accordion 🙂

A couple of interesting off-strip activities are the Neon Boneyard Museum (guided tours must be booked) and the Pinball Hall of Fame museum (11am – 11pm, $10 should probably keep you busy for a while).

Seconding the Pinball Hall of Fame, here. Absolutely worth a visit. An easy bus ride from the Strip, too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the National Atomic Testing Museum, too (http://www.nationalatomictestingmuseum.org/). Utterly fascinating and well worth a couple of your Vegas hours. Also only a few bus stops or a short cab ride from the strip.

If you don’t go to the Fireside Lounge at the Peppermill, you’ll regret it.

Maybe not now, but soon, and for the rest of your life.

(Frankie’s Tiki Room is a good one too…)
