Tomi Lahren is terrible, and it’s a good thing we have J.K. Rowling to counter her

You may need a lot of ointment for that burn, Tomi.

Oh, Tomi. That’s even more embarrassing than being a fierce critic of the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. “Obamacare”), yet having to admit in a 2017 interview that you benefited from it.

At the age of 24, although she was apparently earning her own money, she was still on her parents’ insurance plan, and Obamacare lets you stay on Mom and dad’s plan until you’re 26. That’s “pull yourself up by your own bootstraps” conservatism for you: do as I say, not what I do.

Another semi-regular reminder to double-check your work

Here’s a (now-deleted) tweet that the White House put out on Friday:

The bigger you are, and the bigger your audience is, the more you need to double-check your work. In the age of ubiquitous computing, spell-check should be a given.

This tweet also needs fact checkingthe economic turnaround that the tweet claims is dubious at best, and an outright lie (not surprising, considering the source) at worst — but the tweet’s purpose was propaganda, not imparting information.
