Nag, nag, nag. Yup, it’s me again, shilling for nominations for the 2006 Bloggies, which

are open until Tuesday, January 10th at 10:00 pm Eastern Standard Time

(that’s 03:00 Wednesday, January 11th UTC). As I mentioned earlier, the rules are slightly

different this year — you have to nominate a minimum of three

different blogs for your nomination to be valid.

If you’ve been watching the CanWest Global TV network or riding the subway in Accordion City, you have been deluged with promos for the new series, Falcon Beach. You have probably (and correctly) guessed that it is the Canadian answer to the hit TV show, The OC.

What you may not have guessed is that it’s made in Winnipeg (a.k.a. “Winterpeg” and “The Peg”). Winnipeg Beach, to be precise. Boss Ross’ hometown.

Mind you, I believe they don’t say where the beach is in the show, and another TV show did manage to convince us that Pittsburgh (actually Toronto in steeltown drag) was a gay party town.

Who knew that the Star Wars series of movies had so many people screaming “Noooooooo!”? Now, for the first time, you can hear them all in one place! [390KB, MP3 file]

Bonus: This entry has a remix of Liam Lynch’s My United States of Whatever, with Darth Vader’s “Nooooo!” subbing for Lynch’s “Whatever”.
