It’s Spelled "D-E-F-I-N-I-T-E-L-Y"

I’ve been running into the misspelling “definately” more and more. That’s why I’m glad that someone finally set up a web site that explains that the word is spelled “D-E-F-I-N-I-T-E-L-Y”. You know, from the same root word as “define”.

  • I've been wanting to start a page that collects instances of people saying "jive" when they mean "jibe", and calling it "Jive Suckas".

    I see a lot of sad examples of that, especially (for some reason) at Albertson's.

    Mcdonald's all over had "hamburger wednesday's" for a time.

    But the funniest was the corporate-produced ad banner at the pizza place that announced "Michalob served here."

  • Oh, worse: while I was writing that last one, an ad came on for "non-evasive" surgery at the local children's hospital...
