Tooling about Austin on a Segway while wearing Google Glass and using your smartphone? You just simultaneously won and lost South by Southwest.

At this year’s edition of South by Southwest Interactive (SxSWi) — the annual convention/circle-jerk of techies in Austin, Texas — New York City-based photographer Nick McGlynn has just declared geek victory. By tooling about Austin on a Segway while wearing Google Glass and using his smartphone at the same time, he’s just simultabeously won and lost SxSWi, as well as symbolized “why Southby can’t have nice things anymore, encapsulated in one man,” as my friend Karen Geier quipped.
