What We Have Here is a Failure to Understand Basic Geography

This photo was taken at a Days Inn in the U.S.. Decades ago, having a set of wall-mounted clocks, each one showing the time in a different far-away city, used to be a cheap and simple way of saying “look at me, I’m a citizen of the world!” Nowadays, it just says that you’re looking for a cheap and simple way of faking that you’re a citizen of the world.

  • Looks like they consider Calgary as Canada. They show it Canada as Mountain Time or Saskatchewan Time if its daylight savings is on.

  • Alright Mister Fancy Canuckistan Guy, you may have a point here about the geographic knowledge of my compatriots here in Upper Mexico, but...

I dare you to logically explain why Newfoundland is a half-time zone away from New Brunswick.

What is that 30 minutes about?

  • Mountain (Calgary) is only one hour ahead of Pacific (Los Angeles). They appear to be showing Central time in, well, the center.
