#9 is huge... with all of my previous registrars I found it well-nigh impossible to renew my domain names; then I realised that my renewal was $49.99 but a spammer's minimum bid for an expiring domain was $500. Hmm.... credit card systems mysteriously malfunctioning, ignored support emails... whee.
