Yeah, that was my reaction too. I suppose he doesn't incorporate his politics into his stand-up routines the way Dennis Miller does 9especially since she's shifted rightward). However, some quick googling would seem to indicate that yes, Carey is a libertarian, although probably not a wacky one.
