Back in high school, after reading Space-Time and Beyond for the umpteenth time and drinking one too many zombies with my friend Henry, we came up with a theory:
In the infinite set of universes, there had to exist a particular universe in which the events in our lives were being watched as a TV show.
We then made a solemn vow to live the kind of life that got high ratings.

I’ll never understand why Cinco de Mayo is celebrated all around the world, when it is not even an official holiday in Mexico. Trust me. I’m Mexican.
whoa pink: You can credit Jose Cuervo’s marketing department for that. Them, and as of this year, Hooters.
If you want to make any holiday popular (at least with me), the trick is to link it with booze. I’m trying to do that with Rizal Day, but since it’s on December 30th, everybody thinks I’m just getting a head start on New Year’s Eve.
Let’s keep the Mexican accordion party rolling. As a resident of Chicago, that one strikes me right at home.
