In my babysitting days, I used to take a hotdog and slice it in quarters lengthwise from each end leaving about an inch untouched in the middle. Throw it into some boiling water and the ends curl up and the finished product looks like an octopus. To kids anyway. You can set it on top of some cooked spinach and call it "seaweed." You won't believe how even the pickiest eaters finish it off. Awesome!
