Don’t Do This Either

While not as physically harmful as pouring lighter fluid on the crotch of your jeans and setting it alight, proposing marriage in front of everyone at halftime at a televised sporting event can result in its own kind of damage:

Thus the first rule of proposals:

A marriage proposal should never come as a surprise.

The time, place and manner of the proposal might be a nice, romantic surprise. But if you haven’t already had conversations about where you are in your relationship and whether you’re planning to get married soon, someday, never, etc, then you’re not really ready to be engaged, never mind married.

This is fake. It was done as a semi-promotion at the stadium.
