“Mommy, Where Do Subprime Loan Meltdowns Come From?”

Here’s a photo that recent appeared in the blog Consumerist. I had to borrow the title as well; it was perfect and couldn’t be improved upon:

According to Consumerist, the photo was taken on January 10th at a Wal-Mart in Albany, New York.

    I didn’t ask about it, but at Loblaw’s yesterday, the “apply for our credit card” table had packages of President’s Choice chocolate chip cookies on it. I can only guess it’s the same idea. Sorry I didn’t get any, hubby. ;)

    Wait. Were they President’s Choice Decadent Chocolate Chip Cookies? And you didn’t get him any? Ouch.

    Heh, they were doing this at the Wal-Mart near where I live here in New Hampshire, too. And here I was, thinking it was just a local thing! Mmm, debt -and- high-fructose corn syrup…two great tastes that go great together….
