Hey Joey,
Great post.
On the ‘ass theme’ - Torben had a work mate who was Romanian. When they got laid off at the same time, his Romanian co-worker said, “well, what we say in Romania is ‘every kick in the ass is a step forward’. I’ve always looked upon my layoffs that way.

I know that you’ve chosen to go for this gig but no matter what challenges you face, it will be a step forward!

Joey - an excellent article that makes complete sense. I’m also approaching that similar moment in time where I’m making that decision to head off into new and exciting territories.

(Brought about by blogging - which as you are one of the reasons why I started blogging makes it partially *your* fault…)

Strangely enough I also use the phrase ‘rocket up my arse’.

The only thing that I worry about is if this is a symptom of a mid-life crisis.

…on the other hand - even if it is, it’l be *fun*.

That was, by far, the *absolute best* lead in to changing jobs.

In fact, it crystalized the bottle in my ass I’m been pondering for a few months.

Now, at the very least, I have a name for the thoughs I’ve been going through as well.

So cool.
