Foyt was my hero). When I was in eighth grade, I wanted to be a secretary (I *loved* office machines), probably because I didn't know there were other options available. It's probably telling that between ages 8 and 14, I'd turned a bunch of cardboard boxes into pretend computers/punch card readers, and I'd taught myself how to program in BASIC. I'm a software engineer now, working in what I consider to be my dream job. I don't think I would have said it was my dream job before I joined the team 10 years ago, but it quickly became obvious that it's what I should have been dreaming about all along.
