Speaking as the owner of “The Taint” — that’s my name for the laptop given to me by Microsoft — I can say that this Mac ad is only a mild exaggeration of the “Cancel or Allow” dialog boxes that you’ll often see when running Windows Vista:

Hey Joey… I use a proggy on OSX called “Little Snitch” that watches port traffic and asks me when communications it isn’t familair with are about to occur. I can allow or deny either specifically or globally, per session or forever. It’s totally customizable which is great. It’s not a hassle, either, as I want it to be there. How is the Windows Vista version of this kind of thing more annoying? is it completely arbitrary?
