Archie Goes Goth

It’s a little-known fact that your subculture is over the minute it becomes a plot point in an Archie Comic. In She’s Goth to Have It [436K JPEG file], Betty gets tired of being ignored by her friends and tries a new look to get their attention:

I’m still in shock about Archie playing video games. Last time I read Archie, Pong was all the rage.

I’m just thankful that Mr. Weatherbee didn’t try to become trendy.

You want to see the concepts come full circle?
