I’m always looking for a good excuse to put on the ol’ cowboy hat, and here’s a particularly good one: Julie “Seedlings and Sprouts” Leung has invited Wendy and Yours Truly to sit on the panel she’s organizing for the “Interactive” portion of South by Southwest 2006!

The title of the panel has my soap-opera sense tingling:

Bloggers in Love: Intimacy, Technology and Mask-Making,

but seeing as blogging indirectly led to my getting married, I suppose

I’m qualified to be on a panel discussing such mushy issues. Along with

panel chair Lisa “Learning the Lessons of Nixon” Williams, Wendy and I will be accompanied by Jeneane “Allied” Sessum, her husband George “Musick” Sessum, Chris “More than just Lockergnome” Pirillo and Ponzi.

I’m looking forward to catching up with Julie and Lisa again, and to

meeting my co-panelists, whom aside from Wendy I’ve never met

face-to-face.

I’m also looking forward to meeting up with one of my blogging heroes, Tony Pierce. Perhaps I should learn something by Tsar (one of his favourite bands) and then we can rock out, accordion-style.
